The bed former AS2 Cucchi is an agricultural machine used to create trunks, or beds, in the ground.<\/span><\/span> The trunks are mounds of soil approximately 30 to 70 cm high with variable width.<\/span><\/span> The machine is used for the cultivation of white asparagus, which must grow in the absence of sunlight to maintain its white color.<\/span><\/span> Usually towed by a tractor, it is made up of a sturdy frame, two lateral rotors equipped with hoes which pick up the earth from the sides, crumble it and convey it via the paddles towards the bonnet which acts as a rear level.<\/span><\/span> The “trunk” created has a very soft trapezoidal profile, leveled at the sides and surface.<\/span><\/span> Thanks to the versatile and multiple adjustments (distance between the furrows, working depth, shape of the box) it is able to create customized boxes of different shapes and sizes, even of considerable size.<\/span><\/span> It is particularly suitable for shaping asparagus, strawberries, saffron and other crops that require such processing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
